Ooh, I love Dine Out! I'm planning to go. I'm just figuring out which dates will work out with my mom and me.
I did go to Capones last year which was pretty good. I had roasted butternut squash soup, some kind of buffalo dish for the entree, and I totally forgot what the dessert was. They changed the menu from last year but this year sounds tasty as well. This year I'm planning to go to Cru, Sip-Resto Lounge, Bacchus, and C Restaurant.
I went to Plan B last year with a friend. For tapas service, I was really impressed. I forget what the appetizer was, but I had the braised short-rip with sweet potato (yum!) and a rum souffle for dessert.
We're looking for another option this year. I'm also looking for a restaurant for my bf's birthday this Saturday...any suggestions? I was thinking C Restaurant or something in the Yaletown area, but I'm open to anywhere. There's so many on the list!

If you're looking for a classy place with good food, you generally can't go wrong with Glowal or Goldfish Pacific Kitchen.
I'm planning to go to a few places this year... so far I've only reserved a spot at Trafalgar's for next Saturday.
Last year I went to Aqua Riva and SIP, both were pretty good but not spectacular. The previous year I went to Cin Cin and it was very impressive... I loved it!

Try the BK Lounge. They are good, especially on Wednesdays, whopper wednesday, each only $1.89.
I went to Joe Fortes, it wasn't through dineout, but it was a great place, nice decor, adequate service, delicious food served in a timely manner.
It had some decent " entertainment " as well, as this place is known for a " cougar " hangout. Definitely saw some cougar's in action at the bar at this restaurant, first time i've witnessed this mythical creature in existence and in action.
i got a reservation for 4 last year at C and my friends couldn't make it in the end.. i was so heartbroken when i had to call in and cancel it.. X( so that's definitely on my list this year.. i also wanna try Cin Cin and Blue Water.. in fact i wanna eat my way through yaletown.. XD
I just found out there's some hari-krishna dude who sets up a veggie lunch in the forum chambers every tuesday and thursday. It's all you can eat, by donation. Decent stuff, if you can stand the shitty music and religious literature everywhere. He reccommends $5, but I happen to know a few people who get by with 25c hahah...

Oh this is nice. I always thought it was some club event or an invitation only lunch event. Might have to check it out sometimes.

oh i looked at this menu before.. my pick would be oyster sampler.. the sirloin steak and the chocolate lava cake.. i never found the appeal to cooked salmon or tuna.. but if they're lightly seared then it's okay..=P
I went to Sandbar last Friday, had the clam chowder, the salmon and the sticky toffee cake. Wasn't bad, wasn't spectacular (except the toffee cake, which was heavenly). Looking forward to Trafalgar's this Saturday and Bacchus on Monday!
