there is one huge flaw in your statement though communism never made a good car....watch all of the new top gear season lol, im pretty sure the axis powers wouldnt be democratic countries right now if they were successful.
there is in fact no flaw in my argument... you see Hitler HATED Stalin i mean there was only one reason he took over Stalingrad ... and thats cuz its named after Stalin it was all in an act to insult him, therefore u see Hitler was against communism as well, if he would've had his ways then we wouldnt have Lada's, Gaz's or etc.. russian junk :P
the flaw, my friend, is in you argument. although you are right they would not be democratic by name but neither are we how many things do we really have a say in? how many freedoms did we give up to be where we are? were living in a democracy by name but def not a full democracy ...

it is on topic ... think about it, after all the jews have been through (not to mention how much they LOVE to whine and bitch about how hard theyve had it) you would think they would be more compassionate and have more slack when meeting demands to avoid conflict and more loss of innocent life as they have once endured... heck not even that but realize they aren't gonna give up the land without a fight... how long as the fighting been going on now huh, ud think the more developed civilization would realize fighting results in nothing but fueling more anger and more fighting thus im left to believe neither civilization is grater or wiser than the other
Remember when I mentioned all the horse-shit? Israel stops weapons. They also send quite a bit of aid (more per-capita than the US or Canada,) to Palestine, and take to the streets in record numbers to protest when their government accidentally blows up a civilian target while trying for a real one.
Also, Israel does not have closed borders to refugees, they just don't let people flood across willy-nilly. They have borders, just like the US and Canada, and they have to control who comes in, just like the US and Canada. You're seriously trying to blame Israel for the horrible conditions Hamas has created, which cause all these people to flee in the first place? Bear in mind that it's Hamas who sentences these people to such extreme poverty, not Israel. It's Hamas whose ideology makes them turn away lucrative trading partners, and whose violence turns away moral ones.

I'm not blaming anybody, but since both side refuse to solve the issue, it's easier to let them butcher each other.
You are wrong to assume luring trading partners into Gaza would help the situation. Any government in Gaza know that trading partners will benefit Israel at the expense of Gaza.
Both sides refuse to solve the issue? Palestine began indiscriminately launching rockets into Israel, Israel responded. They are not equally responsible for that conflict, nor its continuation. You would have to be blind to think that Hamas wants peace, they don't. Israel wants peace, and would jump at the chance to get it. But they're not morons, and have been burned by Palestine many times in the past.
I think the Palestinians have a legitimate grievance as to their land having been stolen. But the middle-east conflict hasn't been about that for decades. It is today about antisemitism, pure and simple, along with the Palestinian government's need to direct its population's anger somewhere. Palestinians simply don't want to hear that they have been the architects of their own misery, which they have. Remember, Hamas was elected, they didn't seize power. The Palestinians did this to themselves.

Uh yeah. Sure. Both sides want to get rid of each other, let them. Israel would gladly shove the Palestinians to the sea if the world wouldn't blink an eye at them. Vice versa.
Israelis' objective is not peace when the arsenals they have can take on the entire region.
Israelis single handily defeated Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq in the Six Day War. That was beyond humiliating.
And the time when Israelis teamed up with the British and French to take over Suez, yeah, great job there.
If the Israelis weren't there, the whole region would be at peace.
I don't know enough to really have an opinion, but isn't a lot of this religious in nature, regarding who has ownership or entitlement to what 'sacred' land?
Let them blow each other up until it's resolved, because no amount of outside intervention can change peoples moral convictions and make them think logically when religion is involved.
yeah.. i'm pretty much in the same situation as randomuser but blowing up sounds nice.. =)

Though I would be pleased if I am proven wrong when we stop killing each other one day, but that should only happen after we solve the overpopulation problem.
hmm.. if this were the case.. the killing spree should be moved into china and indonesia.. they do have a serious problem of overpopulation..

As for Hamas, war knows no rule and the biggest losers are women and children. Fighting clean and fair doesn't give you brownie points.
i agree with this...
