    I want the N97.
I like the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic as well as the N97.
But it's too expensive to buy right now, lol.

ive only owned 4 phones in my entire life
nokia 5110 (still have this brick somewhere)
    nokia 6100 (stolen)
comwise d121 (picked this up from HK for 100$ proving u can get a ton of features for cheap)
apple iphone (paid 300$ new from the US)

ive always been on prepaid and spent at most 20$ a month on minutes
so u can say i was spoiled or i saved 40+$ a month not paying for a plan...
I had the 5110 throughout my first year of uni. I got made fun of :( some girl was like OHHHH I thought he pulled out his home phone
    fuck her

I use a Nokia 1600 chocolate bar phone. It does the job I suppose.

What I really want though, should I find myself with over $1000 in phone money, is the HTC Touch HD:

At least until they come out with something better.

I can't believe Siemens is still in business. They aren't gonna last if they keep making egg shaped slider phones like that. Motorola is already going out of business which would have happened a lot sooner if the Razor had not been such a big hit.

Anyways, the best phone out right now is the iPhone hands down. It makes life so much easier and reduces my addiction to my desktop computer at home. Instead of sitting here all the time I can just check things casually where ever I am. I know it costs a lot and thats why a lot of people hate it but it's worth the money if you have job in the real world. It just does so much and does it well. I'm saying this after owning it since July 11, 2008.

I haven't seen one phone that competes with Apple yet, but there are a bunch of brand new handsets coming onto the market this year from unlikely phone makers. Palm is back in the game with the "Pre" which is getting mixed reviews. Dell is also releasing their first mobile phone this year...a touch enabled smart phone which actually looks impressive. Nokia is sticking to it's hardware oriented core buyers who simply buy phones for the statistics (oohh 48 GB of memory)...a very conservative strategy which shows that they are happy being middle of the pack.

I'm hoping that Samsung makes some sort of comeback because they have been quiet on the innovation front for quite some time but I have faith that they have been cooking something up.

*edit* found this article about what Samsung is doing right now...good stuff http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/jan2009/gb20090116_469350.htm?chan=top+news_top+news+index+-+temp_global+business

nokias have one of the best UIs hands down, esp when u break it down to the details
ya iphone has a good simple UI but nokia is better IMO

iphone is dope tho since it can do a broad spectrum of things and w/e it cant do i can usually find an app for it on cydia but thats only the case cuz its popular...
mind u that although it does a lot, that does not mean it does those tasks well ;)

    Haha yeah me neither.

Interesting off-topic: I once saw a picture of Beckham in a magazine where he was running on the field and his jersey just so happened to fold over so that the I in SIEMENS was missing.. needless to say I was quite amused haha. I've been trying to find the pic since but have been much unsuccessful :(

I don't think you need practical experience, you kinda just juggle it around in your hands, aim a bit, and hope it doesn't spray all over the place.
