Help

edited January 2009 in General
Does anyone know a website where I can compare traffick, or find their amount of visitors...? I knew of one where I could enter up to three sites and compare traffick, or just analyze that of one or two.

I knew of a site and didn't book mark it, and I'm having trouble finding something suitable with a search engine.

http://www.quantcast.com (US traffic only, for some sites it has gloabal statistics)
http://www.alexa.com/ (only gathers statistics from users that have the alexa toolbar)

Google trends tells you the popularity of search terms over time and you can compared multiple keywords, but I don't think that is what you are looking for.

What bufli found is exactly what I was looking for, the site I had used previously was alexa.com now that I see it, but I didn't know it was only monitoring traffick of people dumb enough to have alexa spyware or their toolbar.

    Thanks.

well given most web hosts cant really release statistics on their clients without their approval makes the task difficult
thats why alexa uses their toolbar so they can gather the statistics themselves

The alexa toolbar isn't exactly spyware. But that's a different topic.

I meant alexa spyware in addition to their toolbar.

I remember years ago when I was getting paid to remove spyware off peoples machines, the developer alexa had several different entries.

@Randomuser: The way you spell traffic keeps making me think you mean drugs.

    I like http://www.Statsaholic.com

Even though it uses data from Compete and Quantcast, it gives you a clear overview of what you want to know and an easy ability to compare traffic between sites.

@JayDub: When one says that a person moves/deals/is involved in drugs, the usual participle is "trafficking", like so. My guess is that "trafficing" didn't look so good when using "traffic" and its derivatives to encompass the above three terms I used.
