Question about ARTS Major 65 units requirement

edited January 2009 in General
regarding this text:
At least 120 units are required, which include:
• at least 65 units in Faculty of Arts and Social
Sciences subjects
• at least 45 upper division units, including at least 30
upper division units in a Faculty of Arts and Social
Sciences major program...

the 65 units in arts only subjects are including upper and lower division correct?
i was taking it for a second that i can only have 10 units outside the arts faculty to count towards my 120 credits.
I know i am a fool for asking this and hope i am wrong but i just freaked out:embarassed:

I guess so. But still, if you are going to major and possibly minor in an Arts Program, you will SURELY have well over 65 units from the FASS.

To tell you the truth, I am a History and Humanities Double Major and I have so far taken only 3 credits outside the FASS...

You will be fine. I am pretty sure your Economics Program, plus the WQB requirement, plus some other courses you take along the way will take care of that 65 credits from FASS requirement.

Note: Credits = Units (I like to use the term credit better. Units just remind me of 'The Unit')

Where did you get that burb from? If its the general information about getting a BA, or general informatiom about getting a BSc ignore it, and just read and interpret the one from your major's requirements.

I think he got it from the Bachelor of Arts Degree Options.

Like Randomuser said above and I said in a thread a while ago, just ignore it. Your Program and WQB requirement will deal with the FASS requirement.

That link is only for prospective students to get any idea of what theyll need, it confused me for a while when I first enrolled because if you really analyze it and your major requirements they contradict each other.
