Usually you don't have labs or tutorials in the first week, but it depends on the class I think.

It depends on the Professor, some starts this week while other starts next week. The best thing you should do is to ask the professor up-front rather he and his TAs will be running tutorials or labs this week.

^ Yeah, you should definitely check w/ the prof, although I'm finding that more and more classes have tutorials on the first week nowadays.

Also the course websites will indicate this sometimes. In Chemistry, for example, there will be notes indicating if the lab is the first week or not, etc.

    I can't find anything for psycx99 =_=""

doesn't say if labs are on for the first week or not.
    ugh, anyone taking psycx99 know?

it takes over an hour for me to get there, so I don't exactly wanna waste time going there and then going back home.

It generally says on the course outline which will be online. Generally, for first year courses in the arts its safe to say theres no lab / tut.

Need textbooks for that? I can sell you mine!

And there was an assignment during the first week. If it's the same textbooks used in the last few semesters, it should be a 2-page summary on the debate on homosexuality.

You should argue against it using religion and Leviticus as your main arguments.
