  bubbles you still havent answered why gortex sucks? my boots have both gortex and leather so i see it as best of both worlds.
  
  alot of my winter equipment is gortex so i'd like to know why u dont like it. or are you just a traditionalist when it comes to equipment?

  i only bought 1 pair of boots in my entire life and they were for my ex some years ago, unfortunately for me, she ended up loving the boots more then me HAHA

  i skimmed over both those links, the first one seems to be about the difference between gore-tex and hyvent technology while the other seems more like a rant stating gore-tex is overrated.
  
  so if you dont like gore-tex what are you using for winter conditions?
