    Wow! that was messed up! (in a good way)
    But I still don't get how they can actually "fly" forward, w/out being attached to any railings or anything!

    They are angled down and out, so as gravity pulls them down over the air, their wings redirect some of it back toward their feet, which propels them forward. For every awesome action, there is an equally awesome reaction, as they say.
