Hey you're the one that wasn't aware of female contraception via the pill :shade:, I was just exaggerating by saying you didn't believe in it. I should have said just not aware.
The pill is over 99% effective when used properly-- and when not, still over 95% effective. For someone who praises the sciences over the arts you'd figure you might look the rates up, and look at statistic significance rather than say you don't trust something.
The pill is trustworthy, someones ability to adhere to taking it is what should be in question. There are also other ways to avoid having children, there are other non male-condom contraceptives.
Going back to the main topic of this post, clearly you want to pick someone you can trust, to trust they are doing what they say they are doing, and that they are clean.
People in committed relationships get STD's, its not like marriages are the only way to avoid children and STD's. It's always the person you want to trust, not objects, it's blind faith like that, that results in people getting screwed over.
exactly. I'm a control freak. I wouldn't trust the girl to take it every day.
God damn, look, if she fucks with the pill and gets pregnant, there's always the morning-after pill, and abortion. Oh wait, being Christian and all, are you against abortion?
well being a christian and all.. he isn't allow to have pre-marital sex period... so i don't get why he's contributing (if any) into this thread anyway..=S
people who use abortion as a form of birth control are pathetic.

although i agree on the sense that people should man up to their responsibilities and accept the choices, or lack of choices, they made which drunk/high/horny/not thinking
i disagree with ur generalization because, say both partners accept the fact they made a mistake, and are in no position to offer the child a proper caring, loving environment the child deserves then the responsible action is to undo the damage that has already been done. It is an extreme way of saying "we fucked up" but in some scenarios its the only appropriate and responsible action taken with regard to the child's upbringing and living environment i think what is more pathetic is having a kid if you and ur partner clearly don't get along beyond the bedroom and/or wouldn't be able to provide the baby with the care/love/attention/opportunities it deserves, having a kid just cuz ur religion is against abortions is pathetic... (aka not using ur brain and rational vs being told what to think or what the "norm" should be)

1) You know before medical abortion was widely available women did awful things to themselves that sometimes resulted in their own deaths, or their children being born malformed due to their failed attempts at self harm. Whether you agree with the concept or not it's going to happen. What about if someone is told by their doctor their child will only live a month or so after being born due to some disease?
Some people use abortions haphazardly (I've known people, I don't think it's right to be so irresponsible, but the alternative is an irresponsible person who can't take care of themselves raising a child who can't afford to, or doesn't know how to), and some people have legitmiate reasons (rape, disease, etc).
2) So let me summarize, you don't believe in birth control, and you don't believe in abortions, and you don't believe in sex before marriage because you're a christian, although you haven't admitted this yet.
Your ideal woman will be someone willing to wait until marriage, and as soon as you get married be willing to have unprotected sex to have children immediately? I just say this because you said you dont trust the pill, and you do know a condom is not 100% effective at preventing conception right? It is only a few points above the pill, which would lead me to believe you don't believe in any form of birth control.

quit acting like an idiot. I never said I don't believe in birth control.
If you mean a coathanger, women literally DID use those to have abortions. Yes, it sounds as painful and as gross as you think it is. Yes, I an very glad women can get abortions legally now.

Abortion is distasteful, but there's whole lot lesser consequences for society compared to raising an unwanted child.

2) You said you don't trust the pill, or is it you do trust a condom? If so, thats all you needed to say, which by the way you didn't.
Anyway, FWB. Whatever you do, do it safely. 'nuff sed.
