This looks like a computer font. I always shorten words when I take notes, and it gets to a point where no one can read it but me. It's always really messy.
OneNote is handwriting. Why would you use it just to type shit?
cuz not everyone can afford a tablet pc... and I've seen 1000's of students taking notes in Microsoft Office or worse Notepad... OneNote allows for quick tabs indents and tables on the fly where as office dosnt

Plus if you're reasonably neat you can search through your notes and convert them to text if needed.
well if ur talking about converting paper to pdf or word docs ya u can do that with software but again waste of time... hand written notes on tablets -> docs again waste of time cuz the avg joe can type 10times faster then he can handwrite ...

I personally prefer MS Word better than OneNote for typewritten notes. And I meant if you write in OneNote, it's all researchable and convertible to text.
The "average joe" actually types about as fast as they write, so it's a matter of personal preference. But even if you type much faster than you write, there are some courses where the latter would be more beneficial :)
if you use ms word and use the notes layout, you can tab easily and the background even looks like lined paper
my handwriting is awful but at the end of third year i realized I got sick of bringing my laptop everywhere, and now I'm back to writing notes by hand, i just find it works better in seminars when you can back and make changes, and you know what changes you've made
