What's the difference if I return my books in Surrey or if I return them in Burnaby? Does Surrey only take back books for courses that are offered at their campus?
Since the whole Buyback thing is hooked to a single system/ database, I think that you can return books to any campus of your choosing. However, since the Surrey buyback is later than Burnaby, I think it maybe to Surrey student's advantage to come up to SFU to sell their Surrey textbooks up here.
I am pretty sure they wont sell the Surrey versions of classes textbooks at the Burnaby a campus.
Don't SFU have some poor sap that deliver books and materials between campuses? Let say I sell a Surrey textbook in Burnaby campus, and once a week or so, some poor sap would be driving a passanger van from Burnaby to Surrey delivering library books, lab equipment, and possibly my old textbook.
I have a really hard time selling back 2 of my CMPT course books that I've taken at Surrey. Although the course are the same, the textbooks used are different.
Although I'm not sure if you can sell Surrey books at Burnaby, but I do know that there is someone responsible for book deliveries. They would ship books from campus to campus if there's a shortage, so it could be a possibility that you can sell them at either location. Also, the clerks at Burnaby didn't object when I tried selling my Surrey CMPT books. You can give it a try.
Student, to clarify what I said / think... let's use the example of CMPT 225 since I know that it is at both campuses. If they had the same book then I am pretty sure you can sell at either campus since it does not matter... now if the classes have to seperate textbooks, you would only be able to buy the surrey CMPT 225 book at the surrey bookstore and the Burnaby CMPT 225 one at the Burnaby bookstore.
Now I think this works the same way as selling back to the bookstore, you would only be able to sell the book used in the surrey class in surrey and you would only be able to sell the Burnaby book at the Burnaby bookstore...
Although if you do perform your experiment, god speed... and don't get stabbed/mugged/raped/killed in surrey otherwise out meet up will turn into a wake over the loss of one of our own in the line of duty on a recce mission for us.
Does anyone know if they take back custom courseware?? and to student: ahha yeah the surrey campus IS dangerous: I got stared down by quite a few shady 40-year-old trashy guys who obviously looked like they didn't belong on that campus on the ONE occasion I WAS there.

SFU Bookstore won't take back CCW because it is against some copyright law and stuff.
Try Facebook Market, I got rid of my HIST 151 CCW from there.

I will conduct my experiment this Thursday. Let's see if the place is as bad as you say.

I may have two classes there that end at 7:30PM... and I'm this tiny little Asian girl who needs to take the skytrain home...
