Ghosts of Dating Past
Seriously, it's absolutely scary, especially when you put yourself in an environment where meeting new people is an absolute necessity.
Recently I started a new job, and so far I've only been in training. But one of the directors at the centre I work at keeps running into me an awful lot (which shouldn't be happening as his office is at the other end of the building). Not to mention he looks like a spitting image of this guy I had briefly dated and then ditched/avoided/ignored when I found out he liked the buttsex (I think you guys remember that thread...).
Only his name is different. And the guy I dated had said he was in game design.
BUT HE COULD HAVE BEEN LYING.
Because on the second day of work, when our training class was introduced to everyone important in the building, he was there. And almost right when he came in, he was staring at me. I avoided staring back. It only stopped when it was time for his introduction, and that was when I could actually get a good look at him. I was convinced it was Dan, the guy I dated, until he said his name was something else. I figured a guy could lie about his job... but why would he lie about his name, too?
So I had left it up to some guy who just looked REALLY REALLY similar and didn't think about it much. Until too many coincidences started popping up. I see him around about 7 or 8 times a day. Sometimes if I happen to run into him while going somewhere, he usually falls into step right behind me. One perfect example was when I was going to the large break room the other day. I had just come out of our training room and pretty much ran smack into him. I was startled, but kept walking towards the break room. He followed. At one point when we finally passed his office, he branched off. Relieved, I go into the large break room, through another door to get into the cafeteria. I'm the only person in the cafeteria and I'm pondering between Pepsi and Coke at the vending machines for a while when I heard the doors fly open behind me. I glanced, and it was him again.
Inwardly having a massive freak out, I quickly bought something, then made for the doors. I didn't bother to check what he was doing. But when I made it to the second pair of doors that actually connected to the office part of the floor, a long arm and a large hand snaked around me to grab the door handle to hold the door open for me. Again, he is one step behind me.
FUCKING CREEPY.
I don't know if this is all a sign that I should lose the "suddenly ignore phone calls and just avoid" habit for weird guys I date (but don't get into bed with), or whether this is god's way of telling me, "either put out, or stay out."
I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Either way, I'm being punished for being a gigantic prude.
Any of you ever had a similar situation?

and it just might be paranoia, just talk to him and if he seems like a freak than avoid him lol..
nothing like this ever happened to me... except like really really old middle school friends id run into at parties (which i couldn't recognize worth my life) and theyd be like "Hey! whats up long time no see!" and id be like [who the fuck is this?!]
btw this guy was following you around for a reason. Whatever you do, don't bend over!
onto the problem at hand.. i agree with student.. try striking a conversation and see where it takes you.. i'm sure he's dying to have you talking to him.. or.. if you're seriously convinced that he's the guy you dated.. let him play his game and see how long he holds up while you feign amnesia.. or better yet.. beat him to his own game.. pretend you're someone else too.. XP
ps: oh.. and buttsex might be your biggest ally/trump card here... use it wisely.. =P
