It was probably an easy decision and a well deserved award. It was nothing short of miraculous that he could take a team that last 25 games in a row and take them all the way to the conference final. The USask-SFU game was one of the most enjoyable CIS games I've watched (not that I've seen a ton)
it has everything to to with us we do go to sfu....this is the sfu football teams coach (keyword=SFU)
Boo hoo, I wonder will SFU News report when TalkSFU got OVER NINE THOUSSSSSSSSSANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Members?

Who cares about football.. this is Canada.
Correction: Who cares about varsity sports... We come up here to learn and get a degree, not get tackled and get a concussion. I may start caring if SFU start having sports programs that I am interested in.

There is more to university then studying. Having a football team is not stopping you from learning and getting your degree.
There is definitely a lot more to university than studying. Studying is only a small part of it. I row for SFU and while it may not be a clan sport I still compete at the university level. You might not care about varsity sports but a lot of people do. So start getting involved in university, stop only coming here for class and then leaving, start getting involved and then you will see how fun university is.
Your life is what you make it. Nothing will happen if you just sit there and wait for opportunities to come to you.

I don't know a single person that watches the NFL and I know a lot of peopele who watch the CFL.
lol are u serious? CFL is where shitty players go to make a living. The extra wide field is what does it for me. It makes getting a touchdown so much easier.
You honestly dont know anyone who watches nfl football? everyone i know makes fun of cfl fans lol. whens the last time you saw someone walking around with a lions jersey?
Last time I saw someone wearing a Lions jersey? This morning in the mall.
P.S. the field isn't extra wide. It's longer and with one less down it makes getting a touchdown harder.
ya it is wider cfl is about 65 yards and nfl is about 53-54 yards plus cfl endzones are twice as long pretty much easier to get a touchdown...just because its one less down doesn't make a difference when you have such a big field to play and maneuver on
You still have to run a farther distance. With one less down you get one less play. Make a throw, fail it and you are pretty much done unless you get that first down. Chances of getting a 10 yard run is slim. By third down your real only option is to punt.
NFL you get three chances to get that ten yards. If you are close to the ten yard gain then you still have your fourth. MUCH easier to get a touchdown in the NFL.
I definitely would much rather watch a CFL game than NFL so yeah I am going to go ahead and say it, CFL is much better than NFL.
3 downs = stupid...why?...you pretty much summed it up 4 downs improves flow of the game and gives teams a more realistic chance of getting a touchdown....NFL has all the skilled players (that CFL lacks) and has the tighter field making the game that much more exciting. The 10 extra yards in length isnt as important as the width of a field. basically.... -extra wide fields makes running plays/td's much easier -20 yard endzones makes passing tds much easier
conclusion: get rid of the lions and invest money into the whitecaps
I just read the article and I am shocked as to who won, Dave Johnson... So the same coach that said, "We stunk. We were an embarrassment. We didn’t play with any passion. We didn’t play with any poise. Things that have been hurting us previously — execution and mistakes, penalties — just a repeat," after the 2007 Shrum Bowl is the coach of the year? If I have my way, I will send him to the unemployment line for saying that. This is no way to motivate people in my book.

Varsity players getting priority registration is slowing down some student's progress with their degree. Oh, and I know all about their need to schedule their practice and what not. And, to keep this sport related, this is quite unfair to non-varsity student athletes whose sport is not a SFU Varsity sports.

and go to pub nights, get drunk helps a lot too!

You say you like football where it is harder to get a touchdown, ergo you must like CFL over NFL. QED!
