Accounting: What is this shit?

DAM
edited November 2008 in General
There are currently three 400-level accounting courses (out of four) with overlapping lecture times on Monday night. This means that unless I'm extremely lucky and people drop some stuff (which probably won't happen) I'll have to come up here to take one course.

Thanks a lot SFU!

it's the same for every department, they schedule all the classes that make most sense to be taken together at the exact same time.

The reason: To delay student's graduation so the fuc*ers can milk more money from us through fee such as student service fee, athletic fee, and admission deposites. Just wondering, how many years does one get for consumer fraud in Canada? Seeing the asshol*s who once ran our university dropping the soap would be a spectacle.

You know if you don't like SFU that much, just leave, no one is keeping you here. You are choosing to give your money to the "assholes* that run this place.

uhh, the student service fee doesn't go to the school, and admission deposits count toward your tuition.

I'm having the same problem with Crim. Yay.

Forgive me, I am like this every years during registration time. However, now that you mention it, I have decided that, if my grades are good enough for Masters, I will not be getting it from SFU. And if UBC doesn't have the program that are of my interest, then screw it.

Don't Student Service Fee go to Stuent Service, which is pretty much "the school"? If your argument is, "every dime we pay goes toward 'servicing' us." Then my argument is, "well, wouldn't it be more economic for them to get us got of here sooner instead of keeping us up here longer and wasting student service fee to serve us."

As for admission deposite, ok I get my facts wrong, but some people found it quite annoying now that we can't pay with our credit card.

As for athletic fee, I wish I can just opt-out of this. 1.) It is not like I ever have the time to use the recreational facilities on campus. 2.) None of the recreational activity on campus is of my interest.

How did you register before me? Are you a scholarship student? By the way, I heard from some of my Crim buddies that you have to declare your major with the Criminology Department before you can take their upper level courses. Sometimes, I wish all department do this.

sorry I didn't realise there was two separate fees for "student service" and "student activity"...that kinda sucks.

that is correct, and it's freaking annoying. I could be taking 300 level courses this semester but nooo! instead I have to do 2 semesters of random crap first.

I know, CRIM is always hard to get into. I have a declared minor and my date is on the 20th and I know that I am going to have a hard time getting two classes. Currently one class I wanted to take is already full.

As for the rec-fees as far as I know you can get a refund from the rec if you prove you never use their services.

good excuse to avoid cognitive dissonance...i tell that to myself too when i hate the school
but i think that is not an unreasonable request if the school can do better with this, it is just the same as u want the country or the political party to do better while you fuc* them
