Don't worry. I guess there may be some sort of glitch with the script or code for the GoSFU website. As a result, the Summer semseters is not showing. There should be a summer semester in 09 and 10.
Yeah, Pearson is great. So, all that's left for you to take is one of the great texts, HUM 105, HUM 130, and one more HUM lower level course.
Why didn't you take HUM 105 this semester as well? You'll probably have to wait until next fall to take it.
That Shamans course is worth considering if you plan to grab a Religious Studies certificate. The Shamans course is one of the required courses that one that I will probably take to finish off my Religious Studies Certificate. Have you went by the Humanities Department recently and picked up the Religious Studies Certificate brochure?
None really. But you'll find something.
Asian studies. While I have not heard of this "interesting/ easy" bit, but Asian studies do have some good professor. Consider taking Intro to Japanese Civilization (ASC 201) next semester with Professor Pendleton.
That's what's great about humanities. I started my humanities program a year after my history and now I am almost finish with my humanities program while I still got a long way to go with history.
I was taking 2 HUM courses already so I didn't take it this semester... I guess I'll have to wait till next year
What can you do with a Religious Studies Certificate? I'll try and find one tomorrow when I'm on the mountain. Where is the Humanities Department? haha
Thanks, I'm interested in Japanese history and MAY take Japanese for a language course too.. did Jap 11 and 12 in HS and I kinda miss it, haha. And I may do the JET program for fun after graduation...
Nope, replaced with winter semesters to reduce global warming by lowering levels of warm things on campus. - SFU, Thinking of the World.
What is going on?

Ok, that's cool.

Well, I am in the program just for bragging rights... And the Humanities department is on the 5th level of the AQ. Just walk around it.

My enrollment date is Nov. 10, 10:30... I dunno what I'll be enrolling in since I'm most likely doing Co-op in the Spring and haven't thought about my back-up courses yet.
My friend went to ask the advisor of the Communication school with me. The advisor said there will be summer 09, but it didn't exist in gosfu yet for some technical reasons.
Is there anything wrong with this kind of schedule? I purposely made 3 long days to have 2 free days to study. My commuting time is 15 minutes, so commuting is not much of an issue.
The schedule looks ok, good luck. Oh, you do know that you may not get the block or session that you want due to full class, right?

Long day? four hours? Are you kidding me?
That is not a long day.
I had eight hour days before, but those were all lower level lecture and tutorial courses. However, once you hit upper level seminar courses, it is not recommended as 4 hours seminars will drain you out.
right now i'm doing upper level courses all stuffed into tuesdays and thursdays. my thursdays are 11 hrs long and i get home around 10pm. pretty damn exhausting.
so in comparison, makoberryblue's schedule looks dandy to me.
i would love that schedule....it actually pretty much the same schedule i have now....im gunna hate next sem, 4 hour labs are brutal
4 hour labs? Shouldn't it be a good thing? I mean, I always hear people complaining that they don't have time to finish the lab and clean up. You can pretty much dissect a fish, sew it back back together, and dissect it again, and still have time to clean up with 4 hours.

My only concern now is that my KIN143 LAB is scheduled 10 minutes after my ECON103 Lecture. The walk from the lecture hall to the gym is a good 5-8 minutes give-or-take. Has anyone taken the KIN143 class? Do they give you time to get ready and changed, or do they expect you to get running/working out/etc at the scheduled time sharp.
Great, I just found out that the 400-Level history courses that I want next semester have only 20 seats and they always get filled by end of week 1. Once again, this is to Student Dis-service, "Fuc* You!" If I can't get into my Middle East history course next semester, I should just to to my Academic Advisor and ask if I should just drop out of the Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Concentration for my History Degree.

4 hours of school is never a good thing
Back in high school, I'll do anything for a 4 hour lab. I always waste 15 minutes waiting for a bunsen burner that works and 10 minutes to clean the supposedly clean lab equipment. Afterward, I have to clean up. That pretty much leaves me only 10 minutes to do experiment a, b, and c.

And im debating one more class, any imput/easiness on theses 2 classes? (im doing it for the bhum/bsoc credit):
Arch252: Africa and egypt
Fnst101: Into to First nations and traditions or something
Im leaning towards arch252
I have the worst enrollment date so I'm worried I won't get my classes. I want to take
HUM 130
LING 110
SA 150
ARCH 252
I need backups... suggestions, anyone? Some nice easy gpa boosters since I'm planning to work and I'm exec for two clubs...
hist 225
hist 106
all easy. I recommend
Psyc 385/365
SA 255/201
FNST 101
The advisor of the SA depertment really sucks...I asked her wht a seminar is like and she asked me to go check the course outline...
