Hi, what are some cheap snowboarding places around Vancouver? I only know Whistler, but that's quite expensive. I don't have a car, so transportation costs are also an issue (the closer to SFU the better). Thanks, Leo
Grouse and Seymour are probably the closest and cheapest. Both of them are pretty expensive though.
Cypress is a bit farther away and more expensive.
I'm just buying a student season pass at Whistler for about $460 after tax.
The student deal is fantastic considering the current lift ticket prices. It pays for itself after 6 days of riding. If you need a ride up there, the best way is to carpool with friends, but there is a "snowbus" that costs about $35 for a round trip.
Great, thanks a lot for the info. The student deal on Whistler sounds interesting, I'll think about it next year since this year I'm not here the whole season.
@mrbubbles: that would be the best thing, but I think I still need some silly slopes :) maybe when I'm a bit more advanced

good times
Cypress > Grouse > Freemour(Seymour)
Just think of the places you can go, and, it's not crowded like those silly beginner slopes at Whistler.
