Co-op for me
Hello, I dont know if this is the right forum to be posting this in but what is this co-op business and should I be doing it too? Is it a degree requirement or just an option? I have no idea who to ask so maybe one of you guys can help me out...

you take a lil longer to graduate, but some of my frds who hav done it say its worth it~ a couple got offers right after they grad from the same company they coop'ed for too
I had an interview today, one tomorrow, and one on Monday...I'm wondering when we hear back and, if it's soon, how long we have to make a decision???
Since it's just co-op for 3 months and it's setup by the school and it's mostly a learning experience, they don't really have much of a hiring standard right.
90% of the students hired are asked to extend their term and, when you`re with companies eg. Ernst and Young, they`re basically looking to hire you full-time as you get your degree (albeit, slowly).
It`s a pretty low-ball trade-off in terms of what you`re paid, but the opportunity with some companies is incredible.

That's just what I've heard. Maybe it reflects on when you're out of co-op aka in the real workplace? There's lots of opportunity, I suppose it depends on how good the opportunity is?
And I accepted the events assistant position with Big Brothers for the Spring! Exciting!
So really, for me, it's not 3 jobs per person, but like 1 job for every 15 students.
