You freaked out on me for making what you thought were blanket statements about rap music, and you're judging someone by the way they dress?

There are plenty of gay people that dress awful, and straight people that dress nice. By your standards you'd probably think most of the men in Europe are gay.

Uh, yeah. Men in Europe do not wear those hats, unless they are bald and/or old. Hair on the head is youthfulness, and should be displayed. Western Europeans (excluding Germans and Italians) don't wear ties often, and they are far more casual than what Alex is wearing, even the PM of Netherlands doesn't wear a tie to work.

He's basing his judgment on majorities of homosexuals who tend to dress well. To him, men interested in fashion = homosexuals, maybe Kingsley has an inferiority complex because he can't dress well so he labels Alex gay instead. Just a thought.

IIRC you won that battle didnt you? :P

If that battle was a legal litigation I would consider it won for me ;P but he didn't agree.

naw it's a legit question. What's wrong with being gay? I know people who are gay. And not all Europeans dress that way. How can you insult Europeans by saying that they dress that way and therefore are mistaken to be gay? just my two cents.

I'm confused, you're taking a giant step in logic that I did not.

I've spent a lot of time in Europe, and the guys dress more 'fashionable' than North American men, there is a marked difference in the proportion of people that dress up in Europe.

When did I ever say people who dress up may be mistaken as gay? You were that one that made that claim, not me. I don't have anything wrong with people that are gay, but if you're going to assume someone is because of how they dress you're going to end up in a bunch of gaffes.

FYI: He said about 10 pages ago he is not.

With regards to European fashion, I'll support randomuser (shock!) in saying that the vast majority of European men have a fantastic taste in clothing. It's refreshing to get away from jeans and hoodies.

What are the general thoughts on cufflinks? I found some incredible (and affordable!) pairs from Gucci and I'm thinking for a b-day gift...I just don't know if men still wear them...?
  • edited December 2008
i wear em but only to the real classy occasions cuz i dont wanna lose em
  • edited December 2008
Nicole... guy's don't really want clothes for xmas. Most guys would look at cufflinks and be like, "oh... uh... thanks..?"
  • edited December 2008
So long as the person has a French cuff shirt, go for it.
