SFU Surrey

edited September 2008 in General
Okay, I am fed up with SFU Surrey. I went to it yesterday for the first time, and couldn't find the parking for visitors. I researched the night before, and this appeared on the website:

Visitor parking is available on level P5 of the parkade for guests coming to SFU Surrey for lectures and special events. Parking costs $2 per hour from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with an evening flat rate of $3 after 6:00 p.m.

But when I got onto campus, all I could see were the parking lots for Rec members, and it was real frustrating for me!!

Does anybody else know where the level P5 parkade is for guests?!

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

just park at the mall then move the car if your going to be longer than 3 hours
Unless you have a 4 hour lecture, haha. but then you should still get a break in the middle to move it.

Diamond parking patrols the lot. They would mark your tire with a chalk and come back 3 hours later to see which car still has it. So technically, you can just inch your car a little bit and "reset" your parking hours.

Chalk? That doesn't sound very professional...

But hey Kingsley...if you are coming down 102 ave, take a left on 134 st. and then your first left again to get into the parkade. Then just go up to whatever level you want there's plenty of parking there but level 5 goes directly into the school.

how would they know if ur working in the mall beside the campus or an actual student?

They probably won't be able to tell, but if they somehow figure out you are a student trying to use the 3-hour mall parking time, you will likely get a ticket

Are you talking about the ones in front of T&T? Sorry to burst your bubble, but that lot is also patrolled by those asshats. I know the ones in Best Buy aren't, and I've heard the ones near Zellers aren't either(don't know where this one is though).
