How to check waitlist position?

edited August 2008 in General
how do you check what spot you are in for waitlist?

also i read that penalities for dropped classes after August 9th are $100, when they mean dropped classes, do they mean classes you have paid for already and then decide to withdraw? or classes you are enrolled in and drop

what about classes you are on waitlist for? because I need 1 more class and am on waitlist for 2 classes and maybe planning on 3, just to see which 1 i get first, then drop the others, but would that mean i would have to pay $200 fine for dropping them?

THANKS

if u have enrolled in them and than decide to drop anytime soon, ur gunna get charged 100 dollars. The only way you can aviod the fine is if u enroll in a class to replace the one u dropped. Im pretty sure the waitlisted classes you dont get charged for cuz ur not really enrolled in them. Just make sure that the amount of classes you were enrolled in before august 9th, is gunna be the same amount, or more than u are actually planning to take.

o ya if u wanna check ur position, than just go to go.sfu.ca, than go to my class schedule, each class, tutorial and lab should have a waitlist position
