New Webmail System

Have you guys taken a look at the new email system they will be implementing soon? It looks a lot more useful than the current WebMail we use, and I think it's about time SFU gets up to date with their online services...here's a sneak peak. http://www.sfu.ca/itservices/emailpilot/

    is it just me or did they rip off MS Outlook Express?

    not that i care, i get my emails redirected to/from hotmail

    Yeah, I have everything forwarded to my Gmail account so I never have to touch their useless webmail systems.

    Good point...I like to keep my school/work/personal email accounts seperate so I'm looking forward to the upgrade, even though it does look very similar to Outlook (+ajax) I signed up for the trial so I'll let you guys know what I think.

    I redirect mine to my hotmail too... I would actually use the SFU webmail system if I was able to pick my own e-mail name =_= I hate mine so much.
    Hey, if I reply using my hotmail will it still be sent as my SFU e-mail or as my hotmail one?

    A lot of email services have an option where it says [email]xxxxx@hotmail.com[/email] replying for [email]xxxxx@sfu.ca[/email], where it verifies who you are by including your email address in some manner for the other user to read

    and I have an awesome 3 character SFU id w/o numbers. I dont ever want the alumni crap since I wont remember :/

    he complained to the people assigning emails because his default one is 'ass something @ sfu'.

    anyways my account just got activated, and while it takes forever to load everything on the AJAX interface, it's certainly a huge step up from the old system.

    haha my friend has an 'ass something @ sfu' email as well. He told me in the middle of a lecture for some reason, it was pretty great
