I think its good once you learn how to translate it:
Bad:
"she was a bitch, avoid at all costs" = I didn't try hard enough so I failed, and when I asked for my grade to be raised the prof said no.
"hes cocky and arrogant, doesnt let anyone express an opinion that differs from his" = He made fun of me in class and I got a bad mark
Good:
"the midterm was bad, watch out for the fact patter question" = exactly what the person said
"i didnt use my books all semester, just read the lecture notes that are posted online" = exactly what the person said
Helpful Hints:
You can find profs who are hot like this, if theres ever a section being taught by more than one person, pick the hotter one.

i never really found it to be all that reflective of my experience, but still check it to avoid the ones with really really bad reviews
prepares you for shit bosses and such lol
- Are written in proper english.
- State why they thought the professor was good/bad.
- Relate to the professor and not the course material.
Considering that those criteria rule out about 90% of the entries on the site, I find RMP pretty useless. If I really want an opinion on a prof, I usually ask people I know who have had the prof before.
But never never never take the advice of someone who says so and so is easy or hard. I mean, what's easy to one person is not gonna be the same for others. Besides, if someone says they got a B or B+ and says that's an "easy class"...they've got low standards.
Short form: It ain't about the prof. He/she can only give you what you've given the class. Nuff said.
They're the ones that determine how much homework you have, the level of difficult of the exams, and etc. It makes a difference, just looking at the exams for the same course from different instructors, you can see how different the exams are in terms of difficulty and how much they expect from you. Some instructors are just asses.
B or B+ is low standards? Then what about the people that get C or C+? No, not everyone gets 3.6+, and AFAIK most employers don't care and if you're going to graduate school, I think 3.00+ suffices. If you're trying to go for a scholarship, sure.
I think what youre trying to say is most employers dont care about comparative GPA when choosing between two people with a BA or BSC
high school resumes even use character references rather than work references, which you would never do post secondary where you reach an age where you're expected to have had a job
But I only have 2 'people' references but I have piles of reference letters, I hope that's good enough.
