Anyone here on XBox Live?

edited March 2009 in General
I'm always looking for more peeps to play with. The tards you meet in public games ("pubtards,") are not really an option. Last week there was a dude running around doing nothing but screaming "Wiener bomb! Wiener bomb!" at the top of his f'ing lungs.

Anybody interested in some Gears of War, or Catan, or anything really, add Morrolan123 to your friends list.

Yeah, a lot of people have theirs fail. On the upside, MS has a no-questions-asked replacement policy. You don't even pay shipping.

When (if) home comes out, and it's good, I expect Live to go free. They'd really just have to, at that point.

    My GT is CKresher.

I'm not in Vancouver atm, but I mostly play CoD4 and BF:BC. I'm also dying to play Left4Dead this Fall/Winter, along with Fallout 3.

^ I read about that on IGN...but I don't see it picking up for a while..at least until the bandwidth speeds required to play those games decently are reasonably priced by the home ISPs.

the CEO said in an interview a 5mbps connection should be sufficient to stream the games in 720p
for 2mbps it would look like regular tv

its an interesting idea, they plan for beta during summer and launch late fall i believe
i have doubts with the idea, i dont think they can eliminate lag... every router along the path from you to them will have some sort of buffer...
and man they must be running some insane servers for this to be scalable!

^ Probably not 720p @ 60fps. Plus, even if it was, it'll probably be a bandwidth hog, and you won't be able to do anything else on the connection at the same time. My guess is it'll be 30fps tops, if even. And nowadays, anything below 30fps is barely playable.

Also, 720p may be fine for console games, but 1280x720 isn't exactly high res for a PC game. The idea is interesting, but the execution will likely be poor.

    i agree there,
i think its a very cool idea but their relying on a technology that is known to be unreliable
