The best courses to take for WQB requirements

edited July 2008 in General
Hi guys,

I am entering SFU this fall, and was just wondering which courses you felt were the most interesting, the easiest, the best GPA booster, or the worst for WQB reqs? I just wanna get a general feel for what electives I should be taking.

Cheers,

If you're into this kind of thing, PHIL100 is an easy W credit.

or you can take phil classes and feel lost and or fall asleep in class

youre not receiving neutral opinions regarding classes...might be helpful to ask about certain classes instead since everyone excels at different things

i have however, never heard anything bad about kIN 143

I'll recommend Chemistry-192 to fulfill your B-Science and Q requirement. While I admit that the course seem to be no longer as easy from Fall 2007, however a background in Chemistry seem to be an asset for the course. Yeah, it is offered in Fall 2008.

As for other Breadth courses, just make sure you take something you are SURE you are good at. I am relatively adventurous when it comes to breadth courses and I often took courses that seem exotic to me. As a result, all but one Breadth courses that I took landed me in a world of major pain...

Other than the fact that the KIN Department reserved all their seats for KIN major and non-KIN majors can only enroll one week after class starts...

If you're not in Computing Science, CMPT 165 is an easy B-Sci credit.

    Don't take Geography/Geology though, cause they're shit.

Physics is hard and as for Chem and Bio... depends on how much you like and how well you did back in High School I guess.

If you're good at logic, MACM 101 gives you Quant and B-Sci credit simultaneously.

For B-Soc, I'd recommend some sort of History course cause those are the easiest.

And for B-Hum, I think most W courses are also B-Hum so you can kill two birds with one stone. PHIL 100W and PHIL 120W and I believe ENG 101W to 105W are all B-Hum.
