Paper Airplane Designs

edited June 2008 in General
Today i was trying to design a paper airplane that could acheive the most distance and speed. But i feel like im wasting paper and my tests are invalid. Do you have any personal designs?

I tried to incorporate some of the flying principals into it but i wasnt really sure how.

Do any of you know anything about aeronautics or anything about flying at all? Please; feel free to share your wisdom...

Funny story, one time a while back I saw on Daily Planet some interview with some teenager from Ontario who was going to try and break some long distance record with paper airplanes. He spent a good ten minutes talking about his "secrets" of folding which was like using a ruler on the creases to keep them extra sharp.

Then after the ten minutes of buildup to his throw, this nerd was like, "oh by the way, I hurt my arm last week at the track and field meet so it might hurt and I might not be able to beat the record."

    ... and he didn't.
