reputation points system

edited June 2008 in General
How many of you guys would be up for a reputation points system? There are a lot of other forums that have this kind of system so that if someone helps you out or makes a good post, you can give them a +rep and build their reputation on the forum. I think it's a cool way of saying thanks, because there are a lot of helpful people on talkSFU. You can also -rep someone if they are being stupid, but hopefully we won't need that :P

Ive never seen that on another forum. Ive seen the points system for threads that people make, but not for the person themselves.

Who cares how people rate you anyway?

I've seen something similar but I don't really like it. Members would start competing to see who has the most +reps while the ones with -reps would be discouraged.

maybe if theres prizes, I could use prizes, haha :P
