Carpooling with a prof.

edited June 2008 in General
Hi there.
In the summer semester, I will have a chance to carpool with a prof. However, I am thinking that it might be really awkward.
Nonetheless, she is really cool and a good prof.

Should I take the chance?

What chance? What awkward? Do it.

Do sexual acts while on Gaglardi to improve your grade.

Why would it be awkward? It is kind of like seeing your prof on the 145.

Care to elaborate Randomuser? A few profs are regular Transit users. For example, Prof. B. Pearson of Humanities took 135 home after class.

However, just make sure you follow the rule of the road to the letter when you are driving your prof.

theres some profs i wouldnt really want to talk to out of class, but at the same time i wouldnt want to be rude to someone who may or may not be marking some of my work whos sitting across from me or beside me; therefore, awkward

I suggest carpooling with your TA instead!
I dated my History TA in my first semester. Should have failed, but got a B ;)
And I'm taking the skytrain with my CMNS TA this semester, which is definitely different than carpooling, but gives a little bit of leeway!

Oh. I often assume that a car pooling partnership involve both parties sharing the responsibility of driving.

As a History major, I am curious to know who is that lucky TA than you dated. May you share his identity with us?

Just smile and give up your seat if he or she is standing. If he or she starts a conversation, just speak as if it is office hour right now.

I don't think the same TA will date you student, don't bother trying

You never know Triple. He might be sexy enough to convert him.

If the teacher is cool with it, and it's someone you're comfortable with, I don't think that's an issue.

If you just aren't comfortable with that teacher, you can always say no politely, but I doubt that it'll get around that you're some kind of brown-noser, if that's your concern.

If the prof doesn't mind, then I think it's not a bad idea.

No, I'm not going to spill out his name on an internet forum. But he's doing his PhD elsewhere right now, so he's not with SFU anymore.

is it a nice car at least? if it's not more comfortable than a bus, might as well bus to avoid the awkwardness.

As long as you feel comfortable with the Prof and the Prof is cool with you car-pooling, you should embrace this opportunity. Oh, I assume there is a consensus that carpooling with your Prof is ok to most of you guys?
