Both of you, get out of this piece of shit's class right now. He is nothing more than a wannabe prof who knows jack shit about marking papers and teaching a class. I made the terrible mistake of taking CNS 210 with this moron a year ago and I learned absolutely nothing from his class. The reading material have absolutely nothing to do with Canadian culture and his marking criteria is absurd. If what he teaches is really what Canadian Culture is made off, Canada is fuc*ed.

Seriously, read this man's review on rateyourprofessor.com http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=106352

Here is the piece of shit that will royally fuck your GPA, drop now or you will regret it.

You don't even see the guy...as long as you write decent papers with good grammar, you get good marks. He's not teaching anything in the Distance course so why even look up the prof?

He's teaching CNS 210 in Distance Ed this semester. I'm in his class.

His ratings are extremely low. I had second thoughts about signing up for the class. When's the last day to drop!?

This friday, May 9. DROP IT NOW!

Since this is my 400th post, I will make this good.

May you tell Shubert that an ex-student of his thinks that he and his course is full of shit and this ex-student hopes that he dies falling off a cliff during one of his geographic research.

they have ta's who mark the papers and assignments in distance. the actual prof listed is just the one who makes up the assignments, reading lists, etc.

No, this piece of shit do all the marking himself. Why do you think all the resentment are directly toward him? Besides, this wannabe is too junior of a "prof" to get TAs.

Now, putting aside this professor, is CNS 390 a fun class to take if you like hockey and/or you like Canada?

JayDub, this dickhead will ruin even the funnest of courses. For example, I originally took CNS 210 just to make me more Canadian because the course is call the Foundation of Canadian cultures. However, this dickhead ruined the course by giving us materials that have absolutely nothing to do with Canadian culture. Instead of making me more Canadian, I now want to move to the States, get an American citizenship and work for the FBI when I finish my degree.

You drop the course and the tuition, minus the $100 penalty for dropped courses, will immediately go back to your GoSFU account. However, you can avoid the penalty by signing up for another course, which I assume is what you are planning to do.

Well, I just swapped that course for CNS 280 -- Canadian Political Economy with Andrea Migone (DE). His ratings were better than the Shubert guy. I just hope this won't screw me over.

Why Canadian Studies? I would stay away from any course and program that are under the Department of Political Science, which Canadian Studies is a part off. There is seriously something wrong with the Department of Political Sciences' TA selection.

I know... I'm not a big fan of Canadian Studies OR PoliSci but there was nothing else! I should've just dropped the course. Am I now fucked for the rest of this semester?!

I don't have experience with this Migone guy, however my experiences with PoliSci and CNS tell me that you are fuc*ed. You should not have picked another CNS course, period.

I'm with you on that one. Totally not compatible with Canadian Studies and PoliSci. However...

I am fucked no more! I dropped the damn course. Yay me!

Great work, sorry about that $100 penalty fee though. Yeah, you also should get all those distance ed material crap sorted out soon.

Don't listen to what Triple said. It is an easy A only if you can write and read like an idiot, just like the "professor" Shubert.
