WebCT vs FirstClass

I'm really not liking first class, I feel like its way more complex than need be, that said, WebCT obviously doesnt have some of the features of first class but i hate first classes' lay out

    I love how gradebook doesn't have an option to logout.

    I'm using FirstClass right now and it's nothing short of pathetic. Not only do you need to install a totally unwarranted (and outdated) desktop client to use all the features, it's also rudimentary in its most basic functions...the discussion areas don't even sort messages in topics.

    edit: oh and the totally inconsiderate window resizing and pop-ups are fucking annoying.

    FirstClass has a website you can use too.

    It's just as bad as the desktop client and it's even slower, but at least you don't have to install the damn thing.

    I hate both WebCT and FirstClass. They are a not intuitive at all and an inefficient means of providing online class material. I think I could teach a class better using a facebook group than those programs.

    WebCT has its own problems, but it's far better than FirstClass.

    The problem with institutions is they always opt for the complex, horribly designed, proprietary, expensive solutions from incompetent companies instead of superior solutions that are often free but which lacks the corporate air.
