First Night On Rez

Jus like the topic says, describe what ur first night wuz like from past experience or what you think it'll be like...meh by the way anyone finding it hard to pin-point what they want to bring along

    ...I don't really remember my first night. For obvious reasons. haha

    I remember meetin lotsa new ppl during the first week and doing lots of partying at the SFU Pub (btw cant wait for Pub Night In September)

    So if you're trashed on your first night....put the guard rail up on that bunk bed before you take your first shot. And if you're not into the drinking scene *which most of o-week was* you'll still have a blast meeting new people.

    My first night in rez was pretty rough- I was incredibly homesick and it was kind of awkward having to sleep in the same room with someone that I had just met a couple hours ago. Thankfully she didn't snore! There's going to be a transition stage involved with living on rez- you just have to get through that rough period. I'd say it only took me a few days to get comfortable and get a good night's rest. And try as hard as you can to resist the temptation to go home for the weekend (if you live close by), be strong!!

    first few nights shouldn't be too bad, im in an apartment style so ill have my own room and my roomates all seem pretty cool. :smile: my parents are driving me up to SFU and they're staying in a hotel for the first two nights while i get settled in.

    whoa, howd i miss this site

    My first night in rez was the first good night sleep i'd had in 3 days (had just bussed from ottawa to vancouver) and it was with a girl I was crazy about at the time so I think it was pretty good. I didn't really meet the rest of my floor until a couple days later because I missed orientation. Dave

    haha i definetly agree with the homesick part.
    Plus I'm horrible with the name game. I had just met a lot of new people so I lieing awake thinking about them all for a while, trying to remember names and that sort of thing...there was this girl I worked with for 3 months and I called her the wrong name. I didn't find out till the christmas party where i called her the wrong name in front of everyone.

    Aside from that I think the first night was hard to get much sleep. I find it hard to sleep in foreign places especially beside people who I don't know (aka new roommate) hopefully u wont be homesick for too long

    those are great stories my first night in rez is gonna be next monday... im excited and kinda nervous it kinda sucks that none of my friends are staying on rez
