Well for me, I am off to California in about six hours. I come back in two weeks and then I am doing one class in a summer intersession. Hopefully going to do a weekend of Camping in Kelowna in June. In July I am off to Quebec to play soldier for seven weeks, then off to New York for a week before I move back to rez for Rez Orientation.

It's either taking 2 courses during the summer, or going off to Ontario for basic training in the Canadian Forces for me.

    Nice, NCM or Officer?

Officer. Signed up for ROTP since I always had a military career in my mind, not to mention the benefits and tuition being covered by the government.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the CF after my interview in January, but if I'm accepted, I will be off to BOTC because I applied for Intelligence as 1st choice, and Aerospace control as 2nd choice.

The anticipation is killing me because the summer semester is only 2 weeks away.

Yeah but you wouldn't start your ROTP-ness till September.

You mean that I will be waiting a full year before the training? There's not much info regarding how long the wait is for new applicants.

No I mean you wont be doing classes this summer.

Last summer I backpacked Europe so nothing can really compare to that!
This summer I'm taking three classes, tutoring one student, doing my independent contractor job, and I'm almost done the process of a million interviews for a reception/office administration assistant in Burnaby.
Plus going up to Whistler as much as I can!

Taking 3 courses this summer. Not going to be doing anything else since I want to concentrate on good grades.

Ah! Now I have a bit of a problem. I had the receptionist interview today and it went well...I hear back on Monday. But as soon as I got home, I got an e-mail from Terasen offering employment for their Street Team (an interview I had last week). The reception position is 3 days a week and $15.00/hour, and the Terasen job is going to be at certain events, likely on weekends, and $17.00/hour. I could accept both but they would probably end up running into each other a number of times. I don't know what to do! The Street Team sounds more fun as far as interaction goes and I would definitely meet more people, but this receptionist position is at a really thriving business and they said there's tons of room for promotions, especially when I finish my degree.
Plus tutoring a student, and school! Eee!

Hmm... does the Terasen one have set scheduled dates? Or is a call-in day by day basis? If that's the case they can't expect you to be available whenever they call you, so then you can take both jobs =)

What company is reception for? The bathrooms are nice lol.

Copper Leaf Technologies. There were just a ton of IT guys in the office, it was funny.

Terasen doesn't have scheduled dates, so I guess I can let them know beforehand that I can't work for three days of the week...it would be busy, but definitely a nice little income in the summer. I never thought about that though, haha.

(If I get the reception job, of course)
