Getting into a 'closed' class

edited April 2008 in General
hello,

just curious to know if anyone has gotten into a class that is currently closed? I need a class but i guess its full and it doesnt look like sfu will open up any more sections. Is there anyway to sneak into a class thats not open?
thanks

maybe try to email the prof and tell him/her why you need to get in.

Try waiting until the semester starts. People are bound to drop out.

I got into one completely by accident.

I was pissed because CMPT 165 was full and there was no waitlist. So I went on go.sfu to prove to a friend how stupid the system was, and lo and behold, there it was, an open slot. Needless to say, I quickly snatched it up.

hmm yah the class seemed to close pretty quick. I was talking to a friend who wants to take kin 140 distance ed and apparently it had a 100 person wait list. I was able to snatch up the last class available for bus 251 but its at a time that really doesnt work with myt schedule. As soon as i signed up for that last spot, the class immediately closed. Is there less of a wait list for buss courses or something?

pretty lucky spectre. I check back every now and then and hope to find an open section. Maybe the secret is checking bcak with a vengence :D
