i did psyc 102 a long time ago

i was in your CMPT class though, i cant believe i nearly failed the MC, i didnt understand half the questions yet read the books multiple multiple times, i thought for sure id fail the python but got decent in that

the python questions in the sample final exam were WAY TOO HARD! the final was way easier, but the sample final had me freaking out, questions 4 and 5 i could not do
sample final? you were in C100? I was in D100 :P

but a few friends did distance ed so I saw the questions on the sample final, it was...easy? But then again it is meant to be a course for non-programmers...

Well, after epic success on the final exam, my percent (on gradebook) was listed as 63.
And yes, our class avg was ridiculously low
You're in my class I think. I didn't fail my final, but it was my worst one yet at SFU. Managed to get the same as you, an -A at 66%. Dropped from 78%. Awesome.

Man, the instructor for CMPT 150 last term barely curved it and gave a shitload of homework... should've waited till this term to take it.

Anyone know how long go.sfu updates the grades? My prof gave me a wrong grade, and it hasn't changed in two days. I'm getting kind of worried.

Why is that? MACM 316 has no prereqs.
  • edited April 2008
go.sfu is updated whenever the prof decides to enter it, except for the final deadline for grades which would be a last ditch time for all grades to be entered...if the prof gave you the wrong grade does he/she know? or do you suspect this, otherwise id alert them if you havent cause it wont change if so

ne1 know how the grade scale works, like wut range of percent is used for each grade. I know its different for every prof but wuts the most common?

i know this is the grading scale for SFU Business:

    A+, A, A- : ~13%
    B+, B, B- : ~38%
    C+, C, C- : ~40%
    F, N, or D : less than 9%

that's about right. it varies on whether its a 200/300/400 level class, whether its required or not and the number of people in the class. One of my instructors handed out the official guidelines that business instructors have to follow.
