    yes.gif

Experience level doesn't really matter, as long as they can cook me a nice dinner! Not just KD Mac n Cheese lol.
  • edited April 2008
lol ok, KD isnt really cooking O_O

i guess i shoulda wrote that i didnt mean instant foods...
  • edited April 2008
Yeah that's what I said. NOT JUST KD =)

Anyone wanna cook me some pasta? I'm craving..
  • edited April 2008
Obviously girls like guys who can cook. If a guy knows how to cook, he can choose to cook or not to cook. If a guy doesn't know how to cook, he can only choose to not cook.

There's no reason for girls to dislike guys who can cook...

@shi2: true.. you make a good point there

@vonnie: sorry bout that i didnt catch that while i read it =p

pasta is a pretty straight forward meal...

steam up some lobster tails with some lemon and a little bit of salt in the water. boil water for pasta with a bit of salt and olive oil for flavor, angel hair pasta seems to work well with this one. while thats going you can start with some long cut onions and garlic in the pan with olive oil and a little butter. once thats done you can add to that just a little bit of white wine to help deglaze the pan, then add some heavy cream with some rosemary salt and pepper. take just a little bit, maybe a table spoon of the water with lemon and salt from the steamer and add it to the sauce. let the sauce thicken. after the lobster tails are done you can take one, scrape the meat off the tail with a spoon, quickly run a knife through it then add it to the sauce. once the sauce is done thickening and the pasta is cooked you can add the two together. serve on a raised plate garnished with some parsley, a whole lobster tail, and some thinly sliced pieces of french baguette.

    optional:

complement the meal with a nice sauvignon blanc, mission hill estates private reserve is a good one although around 32 dollars a bottle.

desert can be ice wine and cheese cake with a little bit of grand marnier drizzeled over top. add a bit of orange zest to it to make it looks nice since the grand marnier will make the cheese cake taste like oranges.

i dont cook like that on a daily basis though. maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

so it seems like the answer is yea girls like guys who can cook.

although only one girl has replied to the thread.

I am a fantastic cook, as long as we're talking barbeque.
  • edited April 2008
^let's have a talksfu BBQ sometime in the summer then.. and morro can show off his fabulous cooking skills.. =D

yes i love guys who can cook.. they earn lots of bonus points for being able do that.. and even more points for being able to cook food i love such as italian.. desserts and comfort food... X)
  • edited April 2008
I wish my boyfriend would cook me the dinner I_like_hiking described...

Seriously, it's soooo easy to score bonus points with a girl if you cook her a fabulous meal... complete with dessert and wine. The meal doesn't have to be that complicated or gourmet... good ol' classics like spaghetti work like a charm. Just not an instant dinner like KD.

I would be willing to help out with the dishes if my guy cooked.

haha i love bbqing. favorite summer thing to do is go to costco and buy whole sections of pork ribs, give em a good cleaning and do a nice dry rub on them. either that or pick up some lamb steaks and do a nice sweet and spicy honey glaze on them.

sirloin steak rounds butterflied and stuffed with garlic and some olive oil works nicely too. done with a bacon wrap and grilled slowly over charcoal.

of course bbq calls for something a little different. mainly corona with lime over wine. :D

    what exactly are "comfort foods"???

    talksfu bbq sounds fun
  • edited April 2008
comfort food is stuff we eat when we have cravings.. cramps.. or just plain upset.. stuff that makes you feel good after eating so it really ranges according to one's taste..

I can only cook really one meal, but man is it a hell of a meal. Its my chicken and pineapple dish. My bf is soooo picky with food but he scarfs that down so fast its unbelievable. And hes not just doing it to please me, i tried cooking some other meals once and he did not like them :(

But, i also like guys who can cook :) My bf is really good at bbqing but he rarely does it anymore....he said its cuz its too much of a hassle for him to prep all the veggies, even tho i do most of the prepping :/ I think hes just lazy lol.

i honestly dont see how anyone cant cook......

no seriously....is boiling water that hard?

is looking something up online that hard?

its not like having an ability to cook means you know how to cook everything

if a guy expected me to cook for him all the time and i didnt get much out of it, it wouldnt fly

guys are merely objects to procreate the species...really nothing more than pleasuring devices for women...
so in this case consider cooking for him as putting batteries into ur pleasure device
