Someone mentioned CBC as canada-born chinese. So I thought HKBC would be hong kong-born chinese.
.. what are the differences between a hong kong born chinese and a mainland born chinese... they are both chinese!!!

    Huge differences in my opinion.

Just to name some, there are differences in language (cantonese vs mandarin), writing (trad vs simp), and culture.

One of them spits everywhere, that's all I know.

As well one of them hit my friend because she was too dumb to shoulder check when changing lanes.

I can read, and write chinese damnit and I am a banana ( I feel weird saying that )
I can read and write Chinese as well.
TRADITIONAL Chinese. None of that simplified stuff.

I would say I'm a banana as well. But I can be honger if I want to be.
Heck I was the marketing director for Chinese Link hahah!

I would also say that writing Chinese on an "English" forum is rude, IMO.
Unless you're talking about food, because you know, that's hard to translate.

Ahahah all I see is question marks so I just assume that ???? has no idea what he/she is talking about.

He's from China, he's writing in Simpliflied! haha
He thinks he so smart he can type in Chinese (and thinks NO ONE can read that shit...) That's a lil arrogant no?

Shi2 is right in saying there are huge differences in Chinese ppl from HK and the Mainland. Because of this, there's a type of weird racism between them...I'd say it's more the HK ppl discriminating against the Mainlanders.

Real? You deceive me. I did not believe you therefore I let you write Chinese

put it into context and you could possibly get: "Really? You're kidding me? I don't believe you can write chinese so prove it."

I agree with your factual statement except grammar and a few characters that have different meanings but convey the same concept.

i agree that's borderline rudeness.. especially when not everyone here understands.. somehow.. it's like sending a PM.. only you let everyone know you're sending one..
