Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls do I have a story for you.
It is titled: JayDubs Night of Sneaking On the Set and Being An Extra For Nine Hours Till He Got Caught, AFTER He Went Through Wardrobe!
So earlier Thursday night around 5pm I came up to SFU and it was a clusterfuck from the movie. I was pissed. I decided to grab my camera and get some shots because it is still neat to see. I ended up behind the gym facing the track on that hill. All of a sudden around 7pm they started bringing all of the extras on the field. I noticed the ones dressed as civilians were dressed like me so I slowly got closer to them and they got closer to me. All of a sudden we were mixed.
I was wearing my cargo pants and my quiksilver hoodie.
Then filming was starting, they kicked out all of the SFU students and sent me with other extras to go to different places. All of a sudden I was beside the security place with another guy and our job was to walk across the street when the camera panned across us. They did seven shots in one hour. We finished that shot at 10pm.
We went to C9001 where all the extras were waiting. We got some food and snacks. Then we were sent outside to find our places for the next scene. For me it was between the stairs in the rotunda one going to west mall and one going to convo mall. We went back where they had a full dinner ready for us. Lasagna, salad, potato salad, rice, corn, juice, water, coffee, and brownies.
Finally around 1am we were done so we went to out places to film which turned out to be a scene with jeniffer conelly (I ACTED IN A SCENE WITH HER!! W00T!!). People kept asking if I was cold because of what I was wearing. Finally some guy was like, "you can't be wearing that, it is too casual and has a brand. Did you go through wardrobe?" So I was like, "no they sent me all over the place but never there" so he is like, "go over to that location and they will take you to wardrobe." I went there and no one was there so I went back and acted a few more takes.
He comes back with the girl and she takes me via shuttle to the G-lot parking lot which was full of tents, one being wardrobe. She asks me for my chit which I should have gotten when I signed in and I said I never received it. So she writes down my name. I get changed and go back to set and do a few more takes.
All of a sudden this guy pulls me out and he is like, "WHO ARE YOU!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?!? WHAT STUDIO DO YOU WORK FOR!?!? WHO IS YOUR AGENCY!!?!??! HOW DID YOU GET ON SET!?!?" Boy was he furious and I am like, "I am just a university student having fun I am not here causing problems." He responds, "you can't be here, you don't have authorization and I am in charge of everyone here" and I am like, "fine, fair enough I am not gonna cause problems nor am I going to argue with you" He yells back, "WHAT ARGUMENT DO YOU HAVE!??!" and I am like, "I don't have one that is why I am not arguing."
So he is like, "we are going back to wardrobe, return those clothes and we will give you your own and then you will go on your way." He then finds some guy to escort the wardrobe lady and I and I am like, "that is unnecessary, I am not going to cause any problems I told you that." He then goes, "how long have you been here?" and when I told him this was my first day I think he finally realized I truly was a uni student trying to have fun and he became a lot nicer as he was like, "so did you have fun? It is neat to see how a movie is actually made."
They took me back to wardrobe I changed and then I had to walk back to Rez but I couldn't go through the school because they were filming right in the middle.
Anyways, that was my epic night. Now I am in famous and going to be in a few scenes in this movie.
way to go jaydub!! and yeah.. like vonnie said i hope you end up in the movie.. =) talksfu members get the dibs on the autograph if an agency contacts ya..:shade:

From what one of the extras told me it is about this alien who comes to earth and to prove his power he is like "everything at this time will no longer work (ie electricity and cars)" And that is why the earth stood still.

But yeah, i remember seeing those army guys with huge outfits and their pants are really thick for sure~

The other day my friend and I passed by some "TOXIC WASTE" the other day. hahaha.
I know its a remake, but i dont know what the original was one about either..
