What movie/TV show is filming on SFU campus?

I couldn't help but notice all the props of emergency crates, electrical wiring and dudes in desert military clothes all around the AQ, the gym and any other place I missed.

Does anybody know?

    It has Jennifer Connelly, Keanu Reeves, and Will Smith's son Jaden.

    He was here like two weeks ago, I got to meet him. They were filming on the stairwell that leads to the 3000 level of the AQ near C9001.

    Another remake of an old science fiction UFO movie. No doubt it is the same as The War or the Worlds.

    I guess SFU is destined to be the military hospital that Keanu Reeves stays in.

    For some reason I see you accidentally stumbling on to a set during filming without even knowing it. Do you think this is possible? :wink:

    AHA! I SEE the equipment now...
    It was because I didn't actually walk through the area of the first bus loop.

    I usually get off at the 2nd, and leave by the 2nd as well.

    With all the mobile light fixtures & electrical cabling, it seems the film crew are preparing for a night time shoot at Transportation Centre 2.

    Hmm... the last 145 bus I can take leaves at 11:45pm. Should I or shouldn't I stay?

    Synopsis: The film is a remake of the 1950's science fiction movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

    Film Shoot Days:

    Friday, Saturday & Monday, March 14, 15 & 17, 2008
    TC, Terry Fox Field, East Gym, Combative Room Corridor, Bike Rack Corridor, Entrance to SFU,
    AQ Ladies Washroom across C9100, C9200 & Lab C8031.

    Prep Days:
    March 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16, 2008

    Wrap Days:
    March 17, 18, 19, 20, 2008

    they had a giant lettered sign on front of the security building thingy in the front of the university calling the security booth "FORT SOMETHING OR OTHER"

    Oh yeah! They totally made the Rotunda their HQ or Pentagon or something or other. They had lots of monitors and stuff like that all over the place!

    Fack this movie is annoying, it took me forever to get to rez when I just drove up the hill.

    There is also a helicopter and there is military props everywhere and people in fake camo dressed up everywhere.

    Yes, I do have to admit that there is some inconvenience from the movie filming. However, I think it will be all worth it when the movie is finally released. Also, the additional revenue that SFU must receive for filming on campus must be a bonus.

    I wanted to run on the track today but military trucks were parked in a way that obstructed running or use of the field. The treadmills inside the exercise room were quite busy I must say.

    They had the Rotunda walls covered in green...meaning they are gonna computerize the setting

    yeah i was driving down from the b lot and all of a sudden all these camo hummers and army trucks came barging up .

    rotunda looks like the computer mainframe/hq.

    yah, freaking helicopter outside my window for like half an hour. was pissing me off.

    i'm like, wtf is with all the copter? is there like a freaking army out there or what?... yes, there freaking was.
