    There's already so many condo's going up in that area...is a student residence really needed?

    I would never live in rez, but wouldnt university owned or leased have lower rent...I know were talking surrey so the rent cant be that bad, but wouldnt there definitely be lower pricing? Students cant always sign year long leases to rent condos

    I can imagine all the shenaligans and partying going on in my head although maybe its not like that at all. Maybe I would consider living on rez on campus if SFU was downtown vancouver (im aware of the existence of harbour center)

    theres something about being on top of burnaby mountain where i feel like all my non sfu friends would not like trekking up to hang out for. as far as having campus friends im sure it could be a blast, but thats not the university experience im having anyway, for me its more like go to school come back down and back to real life
