Anyone have experience with missing packages (mail)?
I have 2 tracking numbers, both says delivered successfully on the 30th, I don't have either package, nor do I have the notification to pick up the packages at the post office. I'm hoping its just the snow causing havoc or w/e but if any of you have experiences with this and have any advice/suggestion, I'm all ears.

randomuser: unless they left it on the ground and it got blown away :/
my speculation is the snow causing them to do something stupid, but the scary thing is, we've gotten mail the last two days. No notices, no packages in the big mail box with key, nadda :/
in that case, has anyone taken Canada Post 101? =P
Damn bureaucrats.
EDIT: did you buy insurances? Those generally helps a lot when it comes to more expensive orders.
Seriously though, I work at a postal outlet and it's not uncommon for mail tracking to get screwed up. If the local post office doesn't have it, you can call the main Canada post help line and bitch at them for a while. They should either find it for you, or give the sender their money back along with any insurance, if they paid extra for it.

Haha, this one time, a guy came in and was really pissed because he had imported about $1000 worth of Korean cigarettes labeled as "No Value: snacks". Customs caught it though and charged him an extra $500 or so. The reason they open stuff is to catch people trying to get away with scams like that.
Why the hell would he label $1000 worth of cigarettes as snack? It is just going to draw unwanted attention... Who the fuc* import a box load of snacks? Even my dad, who is a junk food addict, don't...
Last week (November 3), I ordered some airsoft accessories from Hong Kong (a tri-rail mount for my paintball marker). The package got to Canada within two days I ordered. However, it has been sitting in the Canada Customs place since November 5. All it said is, "International item arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs."
I should not be worried about the content, right? It is just an airsoft accessories for me to mount Red Dot Sights and Flashlights. Hell, if Agent Bob can get an Airsoft Rifle into Canada then I shouldn't have any problems.
Is this sort of idoling at the Customs Place pretty standard or am I not going to get my tri-rail mount?
probably get 1000 fine or so
maybe probation as well
