My friend tells me there's SWAT all over the place..

    Gun or bomb threat at UBC, and there are SWATs, this can't be good. Looking forward to finding out what really happened.

    Apparently, it was a suicidal student displaying threatening behaviour or something.

    I was at UBC all day and the rumors were flying that there was a man with a gun/bomb threat/chemical spill, etc -_-

    Great, some nutjob acts up and the SWAT team shows up. I will put his head through a window if he does this up here.

    A chemical spill in UBC? With the amount of stuff I suspect UBC have in their labs, a chemical pill in UBC would make that whole area uninhabitable for the next 1000 years. It would be like Chernobyl.

    Canada doesn't have a SWAT team.

    The closest we have is ERT.

    My friend told me it was from an email that had caused UBC to close down.

    Apparently someone sent an email saying they would bomb some building at some time, so UBC evacuated the place I guess.

    It is said that this person had sent this email in hopes of stopping a midterm yesterday...



    guess it worked.

    I remember SFU had a bomb threat incident too; however, no SWAT teams, helicopters, or a lock down. Only an email from the administrators of SFU. =/

    Yeah, during Spring 07's final exam period. I remember that. I didn't even know about the bomb threat until I came back from the final and read my email.

    How unfair is that? UBC get SWAT/ ERT and Police Dogs while we get silt! I want to see my future co-workers in action!
