Campus closure: Wednesday (AM)

The Burnaby campus is closed this morning (Wednesday) because of snow and ice.
However, the Vancouver and Surrey campuses are open for classes as usual.
At the Burnaby campus, classes are cancelled for the morning and recreation facilities are also closed this morning. The Burnaby childcare centre is closed for the entire day.

The situation at the Burnaby campus will be re-assessed at noon; watch here for an update shortly after noon.

As of 6:30 a.m., roads and parking lots on the Burnaby campus were hazardous, snow covered and icy. There was also heavy fog on the east side of campus.
Approach roads up Burnaby Mountain were covered with fresh snow and were extremely slippery. Bus service is liable to suspension at any time.
More flurries are expected this morning, followed by rain this afternoon. Anyone planning to go up or down Burnaby Mountain should drive with extreme caution—and good snow tires or chains.

    RAWRRR.

    My prof is sick so she canceled her classes and tutorials today (she's also a TA) in Surrey today, but MY T.A. is still holding tutorials. I was wishing so hard for Surrey to be closed today! NOT FAIR!!!

    That hurts.. the one time I actually managed to resist hitting snooze and get up in time for the bus.. it's a snow day.

    because on that page, all classes are cancelled, but they may open the school at noon.
