Doing business with friends

What do you intelligent people think of doing business with friends? I've had friendships gone rocky due to business stuff gone downhill, but I've also had friendships get stronger as a result of successes (ie. making lots of money together). So I am about to go into another business venture and I've been thinking that I should learn from my mistakes, and really am not sure if theres a general rule to follow. Whats thinkin

    All those long nights youll work with your friend will eventually lead to a 'bro-mance', youll never be able to go back after that point.
