SFU Blogs

edited December 2007 in General
Does anyone know some good blogs of SFU Students? Sometimes I am interested in reading about whats going on with people at SFU, and the Peak just doesn't cut it. Hook me up if you know any!

er.. you mean, important SFU students or just random, everyday people?

CultivatingBoredom.com is my blog but there's not much to do with SFU on it.

I put up SFUtips.cultivatingboredom.com as a place to store random tricks n' tips about SFU but I got lazy and assignments/work/exams got in the way.
I was going to open that up and let other people contribute if there was enough interest in it.

So that was you who posted on my blog lol. You know some people from my high school... did you go to North?

I have a blog, www.notfauna.blogspot.com, but I'm not sure if it counts as something "good" to read... it's mostly just random rants.

hey that's awesome that you guys have blogs. i'll definitely check them out when i have time.

i've thought about starting a blog because my old work gave me a free .com website and have yet to do anything with it. but my life is pretty uneventful right now so i don't really have much to write about other than some opinions here and there. i like to write fiction, like novellas and stuff, but that's not really something I'd post up on the internet.

it'd be kinda interesting if talksfu started offering blogs for its members heh

Not really what I was looking for, but vancouverxchange is interesting. I never knew it existed yet it seems to have almost 70k members. Weird. I'm looking specifically for BLOGS like the ones posted above...

i still have my good old xanga till i find the time to make my own page and store my blogs.. but past experiences have told me blogs aren't a good thing to share.. =)
  • edited December 2007
what would be the point of having a blog if you're not gonna share it? that would make it a diary
  • edited December 2007
essentially that's what a blog is.. an online diary/journal.. the point is for me to store my thoughts and opinions.. that doesn't mean everyone or anyone can read it..

vancouverxchange is getting dumber and dumber because of all the 13-14 year old nammer chicks and guys that go on.

I only go on there cuz those 13-14 year old nammer chicks like to buy my stuff on the classifieds! HAHA.

looked up SFU and ouch.. this was one of the defn:

"what everyone calls a university a top a dreary rain soaked foggy mountain that is ranked number one causing for student suicides in Canada

what university do you attend? Someone fucked up."

funny how i can somewhat related to that.. it really is depressing during rainy days.. =(

A pitiful excuse for a university. Looking for a state of the art medical center? Out of luck. Want to try out for the debate team? Not here. A packed stadium of rowdy college football fans on Saturday afternoon? Try again. People that come from all over town to watch the basketball team on its road to the national title? They don't even know it exists. Well, at least we'll be able to crash the fraternities and sororities, right? Sorry. Upscale shopping village and quaint local hangouts? Not within miles. Classmates that speak english? Fuhgeddaboudit. Cutting edge instructors that are passionate and don't espouse tired viewpoints? This is the land of the old and washed up.

This place was the nadir of my life and I can't believe I wasted all that time there.

I thought I was going to get a valuable college experience, but I ended up going to SFU.
Haha.. that one is even worse.

lol.. yeah.. it sounds like a really really bitter ex SFU student.. but really.. it all comes down to the last line which pretty much explains the situation.. X) lol..

I remember hearing people calling SFU UBC's retarded brother.
