The feeling when you get A's

edited December 2007 in General
This entire semester I've been plagued with C+ and B- and i just got some of my papers and other things back to finally see I've gotten some A's, I think my gpa might be something like 3.4 this semester if my predictions are right.

I've never gotten an A, haha
    I'm third year too, lol.
B+ highest i've gotten... but i slack so much, so my fault, lol
Ive gotten lots of As on papers, I'm pretty good at em, but then I'll be going into the final with current A mark, so I don't study, get C on final, finish with B, lol

Congrats on getting the As! I love the feeling of getting As... because who doesn't? =P

ive gotten an A or A+ in at least one course every semester, i think i've developed some sort of obsession/addiction to it. though, usually some of my other courses take a beating from the lack of attention i give to it so my gpa hovers around 3.0-3.3 most of the time. i gotta start figuring out how to balance my effort that goes into each course out!!

Getting A's make going to university totally worth it. The feeling is so good.

Is it like doing cocaine? I have no idea what its like to get an A :(

    I don't feel that good when I get A's.

When I get A's, it means I was already good at the course to begin with and just got an A because of it.

When I get B's I'm usually pretty satisfied because it means I wasn't good at the course but worked hard.

    I haven't gotten an A before =(
    I got a B+ though!!

Well... compared to UBC, SFU's standards are higher.
Everything is a grade higher then SFU's...

    So
    B+ at SFU = A- UBC

    Booooo...

I hope it doesn't feel like cocaine, cuz then I wouldn't want any As, cocaine feeling sucks (well... according to my friend... *looks around*)

Judging from how this semester is going so far, I don't think I will be experiencing that "feeling" of getting A's this semester (Except CMPT120, but that seriously doesnt mean much)

More likely I will experience whatever feeling might accompany the C- (or lower) in math 151!!

However good it may feel, it is all transitory in the end. You get a few As but in a week it makes almost no difference how you finished the semester. By next semester you completely forget about it because you'll likely be overwhelmed with work.

Still, it's nice to look at your grades and go "Whooooooooo! An A!" :)

    lol @ triple..

i've been plagued by C's and B's for the whole of my first year when i was still getting used to the university system.. and my confidence/expectations just bumbled down the grading ladder.. =( so whenever i end up with anything above a B.. i'm pretty satisfied with it.. =D but i've set a new standard this year just to see if i get meet it... we'll see how things go after finals..

well, my goal is a 2.5gpa to graduate with...
    im at 2.35, haha.

so yeah, B-s kick ass for me, lol.

sure I could do better, but I don't know, I do everything last minute, study the night before, don't go to lectures (fixed that by taking distance ed, haha)

but now I'm third year, did better this semester, and next semester I'm back at campus, so I'll go to lectures now since this is the useful stuff to learn and might have to use it for my career.

    I love A's!

Ive been doing so well in one of my courses this semester....A's on a lot of assignments....but the final was only so-so for me last week, so we'll see what i end up with in the course.
