edited December 2007 in General
Im kind of confused, after I register what do I do? What kind of materials do I need other than the books, I noticed some page about pick up or delivery of materials etc...

You go and pick up the materials from the distance ed centre. You sign a piece of paper there and they give you all you need. But you might need books from the bookstore too. Just check your books list and it will prolly tell you that.

aside from books.. they might have a course reader or study guide for you to pick up as the DE centre or you can have them mailed to you.. when you're done with the course.. they usually have you return the course reader and keep the study guide.. the deposit for the course reader will then be credited back to your SFU account

Has anyone taken English 199? I've heard some great things about this course (major improvement in writing), but I'm wondering if this can be as effective through Distance Ed as well (taking it through DE this semester).
    Looking forward nonetheless!

I think you'll learn best in English if you do it in class...in class essays really test you

That's what I was kind of thinking as well, but I suppose the essay mid-term will be similar.
7:00pm-10:00pm...that's a disgusting time to write an exam.
