Email Notification for Threads

edited November 2007 in General
The following message was sent us via the TalkSFU Contact Us form:

Hey guys. Could you guys incorporate an e-mail alert system that sends out an e-mail when somebody has replied to a thread? I think it gets kinda hard keeping track of posts in different sections of the forum after awhile. It would be nice if there was some sort of system that send out alerts to go check in certain sections. Much like e-mails that come saying that someone has written on your wall or some event's happening, etc. on Facebook. Thanks.
This is a feature that has always been available through your usercp (control panel) but from now on will be a default setting for all users. Whenever you create a thread, you will receive an email when someone replies. You can see all the threads you are subscribed to at a glance by clicking on your usercp at anytime.

If you do not require this feature and would like to disable it, you can do so by clicking on usercp, selecting edit options, and then selecting "do not subscribe" from the thread subscription options. Finally, click save changes at the bottom of the page.

you also get subscribed by replying to your post, once again, check USERCP at the top left of the webpage to view/unsubscribe.
