Ways to stay active in the winter
I spent all summer playing recreational hockey, basketball, and even a bit of running, but now that the weather's becoming crummy, no one really gets together anymore. What's a good way to stay healthy and active over the winter? I hesitate to start skiing or ice skating because you just seem to glide around whereas I'd rather put in some effort. Any suggestions?

something I picked up recently is skipping. i really like it because sometimes when I've been spending too much time studying and I feel like doing something active in between (but don't want to trek all the way to gym), I pick up my jump rope and start skipping. I started to get really fast at it after about a week and it's also kinda fun to see how long you can go for. I wish i could skip like those boxers though :(
