About withdrawing from a class.
So I know that SFU allows students to retake up to five classes. What I want to know is this: if you withdraw from a class (as in a WD on your transcript), and then somewhere down the line decide to try taking it again, does that count as one of your five retakes?
I'd like to figure this out, because I'm seriously considering dropping MACM 201. I'm currently a CompSci student, and MACM 201 is a required course, but lately I've been giving a lot of thought to switching majors. I'm not 100% sure about it yet, but I don't want to let MACM 201 totally dropkick my GPA (which it undoubtedly will, especially after failing midterm 1) when I might not have to take the course at all.
But if I do decide to stick with Computing Science, then I'll end up having to try taking MACM 201 again, and that's why I want to know if retaking a course that you previously WD'd from counts as one of five redos.
Thanks, and I hope that maybe someone here will have the answer I'm looking for. :)

A WD class is technically off your record, so it wouldn't count as a retake.
good luck!
