dropping a class

edited October 2007 in General
hello im taking cmns110 rite now and ive fallen way behind...I need to transfer to business next year so i cant have a failing course or extremely low mark course dragging my gpa down. So my question is, since the deadline for dropping a class is already due, is there any possible way of not using this mark when I apply to trans to business next year? Thanks

You can do a retroactive withdrawal if you have a good reason for doing bad in that class. No one wants a bad mark on their transcript, but if students were allowed to drop classes simply because they didn't do as well as they'd hoped or didn't put enough effort in, then it would defeat the concept of academic achievement.

Try talking to your professor to see if he can make the final exam worth more for you, then study your ass off for it. There is still time!
