He probably used this site for advertising and stuff, which is not the purpose of this site.
I'm sticking with PCF =).. you really can't beat:
-no fees
-unlimited debit transactions
-access to any CIBC/7-eleven ATMs for no charge
-unlimited cheques
-4.25% interest with their savings account more than $1000
unlimited debits?? =)
and no fees? that's great
i'm using RBC and i get 25 debits but no fees and unlimited transactions and bill paying.
not unlimited cheques though =(
hmmm....
I also bank with PC Financial, and I couldn't be happier. Don't know if it's been mentioned, but free cheques as well, I ordered like, 5 books of cheques so I never run out. All free. Being able to use CIBC and PCF ATMs for free is great too, because there's always a CIBC in malls.
About the holding period for cheques, I think a lot of younger customers have that, because they run a credit evaluation and all that jazz. I get access to my money immediately after I deposit the cheque, up to $5000, at a machine. The holding sucks, so hopefully they take it away soon.
But yeah, as it was mentioned before, if you have no need to do your banking at an actual bank, ie. talk to a teller, then PC is probably your best bet. That's how they save all their money, actually, by not opening branches. I've never in my life had a need to speak to a teller about my banking, so works out just fine and dandy. Internet banking is the best thing since sliced bread.
